Roofing is Our Heritage & Craftsmanship

MCPARTLON ROOFING HISTORY
McPartlon Roofing has been revolutionizing the roofing market for decades, by championing new materials and processes, while staying true to the unique architectural style of the city the company calls home. Founded in 1985 by brothers Brian and Kevin McPartlon, who followed in their father Thomas J. McPartlon’s footsteps, the company has made a name for itself as an award-winning enterprise. It also proudly boasts the distinction of being the only roofing company in Santa Fe with Pro Certification from the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). McPartlon Roofing’s motto is, “Roofing is our heritage, Craftsmanship is our tradition.”
Among the many notable achievements of the family-owned company are the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Award, for their work on the historic building known simply as “the round barn,”and the City of Santa Fe Heritage Preservation Award for their part in the restoration of the former governor’s mansion, now known as the Peyton Wright Gallery. Others include the Georgia O’Keeffe residence and studio in Abiquiu, New Mexico; the United States Federal Courthouse in Santa Fe; and the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The company has also received the national Roofing Contractor of the Year Award from Roofing Contractor Magazine and has been voted best of Santa Fe for the past 12 years, by the Santa Fe Reporter.
In 1993, Brian bought the company from his brother and continued the family traditions, building the company into one of northern New Mexico’s most trusted roofing contractors. Today, McPartlon Roofing has grown to over 40 employees and, though Brian has mostly retired – providing his skill and knowledge to his Leadership Team as Senior Advisor and Community Liaison – the dream has been passed down to his daughter Hillary McPartlon, his nephew Matthew Berning and the extended family of loyal employees, some of whom have been with the company for decades.
Since Hillary took over company leadership in 2018, a whole new vista of possibilities has opened as she introduces more and more women to her workforce. She has been instrumental in founding a local chapter of the National Women in Roofing organization and has been applauded for her efforts to diversify the population of workers in the construction industry. Hilary has been Pro Certified by the NRCA and serves on two educational committees for Pro Certification. She is also a board member for Western States Roofing and Contractors Association and is part of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce’s Career Work Force Education Committee.
